They've All Been Wrong Contributor: Timothy Peck
Looking back at how Christians have viewed Christ’s second coming in the past, we find many people obsessed with figuring out all the details and making predictions. Here is a quote: “The last days are upon us. Weigh carefully the times. Look for him who is above all time, eternal and invisible” …

The Odds of Jesus Contributor: Timothy Smith
Dr. Peter Stoner, Professor Emeritus of Science at Westmont College, wrote a book entitled Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1969, P.109) in which he wrote about the law of “compound probability” in reference to just 8 of these prophecies about Jesus coming true. The Prophecy of Daniel Ortega Source: Greg Dabel in Managua, World, October 27, 1996, Vol. 11, No. 23, pp. 20-21
Across Nicaragua, graffiti plastered houses, walls, and public buildings. The most prevalent campaign slogan everywhere was: “Daniel 5:25.” Intended to be a simple instruction on how to vote, it literally meant, “Vote for Daniel Ortega, the 5th position on the ballot, on the 25th day of September.” But Christians in Nicaragua saw a hidden meaning that only God, the author of humor, could orchestrate. …

Cicadas and the End Times Contributor: Richard Tow
When I was growing up in West Texas cicada (pronounced si-ka'-da) “locusts” like the one pictured on the screen filled the giant elm trees at times. During the heat of the summer the shrill buzzing sound of their mating call filled the air. To this day anytime I get in dry, hot weather I remember that buzzing sound. On the tree trunks we would find the empty shell of the living organism—a dead, dried out, fragile exoskeleton that retained the form of the locust. Life was gone. The locust itself was no longer in the exoskeleton. But there its lifeless claws held to the trunk of the tree. …

Prophecy in the Bible Source: Today in the Word, MBI, December, 1989, p. 40. Submitted by Guy Caley
Dr. George Sweeting once estimated that “more than a fourth of the Bible is predictive prophecy...Both the Old and New Testaments are full of promises about the return of Jesus Christ. Over 1800 references appear in the O.T., and seventeen O.T. books give prominence to this theme. Of the 260 chapters in the N.T., there are more than 300 references to the Lord’s return—one out of every 30 verses.” …
